there is与there are的它们的区别在于适用的主语环境不同。
there be句型基本的含义是表示某地或某时有某人或某物。其主语是there be后面接的名词或代词。当主语是单数可数名词和不可数名词时，用there is。当主语是复数可数名词时，用there are引导。
three are和there is都是表示“有，存在”的意思。
is是单数形式，are是复数形式。
当主语是单数的时候，用there is
例如：There is an apple. 那有个苹果。
当主语是复数的时候，用there are
